There are several ways to open the Windows Terminal in Windows 11: using the Start menu, Search, Run dialog box and Explorer. Other methods involve using the Task Manager application and the Win + X menu.

Method 1: Using the Start Menu

  1. Press the button "Start", which is now represented by four blue squares on the left side of the taskbar.

Pinning the Windows Terminal to the taskbar and Start menu

If you plan to use the Windows Terminal frequently, pin the application to the taskbar so that it is always in view.

  1. Start Windows Terminal in any of the ways described in this article.
